About the Founder
Our founder, Dr Jackie L. Coaxum Jr. who holds a Ph.D in Theology and Music education has proven himself as a compassionate and dedicated humanitarian. Having provided similar services to the mentally ill previously in New York State, Dr Coaxum and his team is determined to offer the same degree of care and compassion to the mentally ill and all who are homeless in North Scranton, Pennsylvania and beyond . The organization has secured a six-bedroom home to facilitate housing veterans and persons suffering from mental illness. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood where individuals can heal and restore themselves.
Our Vision
Led by Honesty, Loyalty and Dedication, Faces of Hope will strive to be a safe haven to the most vulnerable members of the community. We seek to provide a vital resource to homeless individuals who may be suffering from conditions such as PTSD and schizophrenia. Additionally, we will build partnerships with community leaders, organizations and business to increase the resources and tools available to those suffering from homelessness and mental illness.
